Scope of Work: On this project, we performed the cold-formed metal framing and welding of the exterior walls, zip sheathing, roof framing and trusses, light gauge metal framing, insulation, doors, gypsum board installation, and finishing, fire-stopping, and acoustical ceilings.
About This Project: This design-build project is located in Highmount, New York. The Discovery Lodge serves the lower base mountain of the Belleayre Ski Area. The project included an expansion to the lodge as well as the remodeling of the existing spaces within the lodge.
The Discovery Lodge has two main levels and a third-floor administration office area with a total area of approximately 30,000 SF. The Lodge provides the following programs: rentals, dining, children’s program, retail, ticketing, ski school, and administrative area.
This project was in a remote location making labor and material sourcing difficult. In addition, the schedule was compressed. We overcame these challenges and completed the project on time and safely.
